Rather, they persevered, and have come out stronger than ever as they are now returning to their normal production levels a whole three months sooner than expected.

The reason for North American Toyota production returning to normal so fast is that their Japanese production was able to make such a shockingly fast recovery. With parts suppliers ready to do what they do best, Toyota's North American plants were able to resume manufacturing Toyota models at pre-disaster pace. Included are models like the Camry, RAV4, and Tacoma, along with nine other models, which as a whole, comprise almost 70 percent of all sales in the U.S. market for Toyota.

Of course, it still goes without saying that Toyota has come catching up to do. Namely, some dealers across the country are still running low on inventory.
