Toyota Rides Some Waves at SEMA

The all-new 2012 Toyota Tacoma is quite an impressive vehicle. Aside from its envious sales numbers and rave reviews of critics, the pickup truck from our favorite Japanese automaker recently lent itself to a number of one-of-a-kind models that were shown off at this year's SEMA Show. One variant is a finely-tuned aftermarket racer, while another is a surfer's dream ride. Today, we here at Capital Toyota would like to share some insight into the Oakley Surf Tacoma.

Just as its name implies, the Oakley Surf Tacoma was a joint venture of Toyota and Oakly. The vehicle has been bestowed with a number of upgrades to ensure that its driver has the perfect day at the beach, and when we say that, we're not just hyperbolizing its name either! More specifically, it features a larger roof rack/rear bed system that's capable of holding six to eight surfboards; Wet Okole Hawaii seat covers, with custom embroidery; a Kicker sound system; and an integrated shower system for cleaning up after a long day of riding waves.

Of course, the upgrades don't stop there either. To ensure that the Oakley Surf Tacoma can take its driver to wherever the waves to crashing, Toyota fitted it with an Icon stage 3 lift kit; Flowmaster stainless steel exhaust; front coilover system; and Walker Evans 17 x 8 bead lock wheels with a flat black finish mounted to BF Goodrich 285/75-17 all-terrain tires. After all, who says a laid back and fun-loving truck can't pack a little performance-driven punch too?

We currently don't expect to see the Oakley Surf Tacoma entering the Toyota production cycle any time soon, but you can learn more about the current Tacoma or any other new Toyota by getting in touch with us online or by phone at (877) 578-0060.
